Nobody's actually making those posts. It's some kind of spambot, apparently originating in China. What we need is for the list owner to delete those subscriptions and toggle off the auto-registeration. Thing is, now that Port A Surf Co, the basis for this whole web site, is gone, that might not happen, I don't know. Somebody with administrator access could fix it in about 5 seconds.

They site could go down any day. The ' guy ' was busy when I spoke to him and did not care enough to look it up or want to f with it period.

Chris has not cashish and so i do not know what to do. For sure my wife is not gonna go along with me throwin' any money down on it.

Man, if it goes down, I hope at least we can have some advance warning of some kind, and at least a temporary forum. I'd hate to lose this unique vibe. There are lots of free forum hosting sites out there. Here are some major ones:

Can't see how this site can stay up much longer if the domain name is expiring. This site is primarily an advertising site for Port A Surf Co., which no longer exists. The forum is just a small side feature.

If anybody is left out there, and you want me to start up another forum on one of these sites to replace this one, let me know. Right now I don't see much activity on here.

I will be happy to post up the reports and pay for a host if any of you webmasters wanst to put some sweat equity into setting up a site. Perhaps PORT A Surf Report or Coastal Ben's Surf report

I've setup a twitter account and a facebook page for portasurf:

• http://twitter.com/portasurf - you can use that to get the latest.

• You can also search for 'Surf Port Aransas' and connect to that page with your FB account.

We can easily use one or both of these as a general forum for sharing the portA stoke.

Coastal Ben - if you want to post the reports, I'd be happy to give you the login info for the twitter account and we'll go from there - you can email me direct at dkurak@gmail.com

Hey let me jump in here... I'm not sure a Twitter account is the best environment for a very small forum like this, because it's read-only; people can't post or discuss stuff. Maybe Facebook. And you know, this forum could be run on one of the free forum web sites at no cost to anybody.

hey Ruark - I also setup a facebook page - I think this link gets you there. Once you 'like' the page you can write stuff on the wall:

I also am not sure if this or twitter is the best place, but I think it definitely beats what has happened to this forum. Twitter is read-only if you don't have an account, but it took about 10 minutes to setup. Facebook is nice b/c we can post pics on the wall and have various chats...and anyone could post the reports.

Does that link above work? If not, you should be able to just search for 'surf porta' and get to the page...anyways, we could give this a shot and/or someone could also set something up on one of the free forums...

assuming you have a facebook account - you just need to 'like' the page - https://www.facebook.com/home.php?#!/pages/Surf-PortA/106795176047341 - I've setup the security so anyone can post to the wall.

At that point, just post the report and you should be golden. I know I can post my pics and I think you should also be able to post your own as well - if that doesn't work, please let me know and I'll try to get it straightened out.
