Surf City Texas

You know I've been following Mr. Fulbright's project for a few years and I am stumped as to why people (investors) haven't caught on to it. Well....I take that back I do understand....no working full scale model, and a few other BIG reasons. If one decent wave pool, mind you I mean decent enough to surf, was built and worked as promised we'd see them everywhere. I am kinda torn myself about the whole fake wave thing....i think going to the beach is such a big part of the process/experience that I don't know if parking in a asphalt lot, and surfing in such a regimented manner (only one person could ride any wave at one time, for liability reasons you can almost be guaranteed) would be the end all be all it might seem like. I would certainly use it but not if there are waves at the beach. But at times like this when we haven't had good waves in a while an annual membership would certainly be a line item in my budget.

I agree I think it will happen eventually, and I also couldn't even make a dent in what they need capital-wise. I really like the ingenuity involved, different breaks, etc. I just hope we get to see it sometime.
