| surf is a bit more lined up today..but still has some bump and chop on it.
lots of swell out in the gulf , but doesnt seem to be hitting all that much.
still around waist high..fair form...
we have morning sickness...
again may improve a bit this afternoon with tide change..
it is not recommended to surf within 100 yards of any pier or jetty due to dangerous currents and at times fishing lines.

| Hey Chris,
Do you have a four wheel drive vehicle ? Have you ever ventured down island to Big Shell and surfed there ? Great place when its 2-4 feet and a ground swell on full moon incoming tide. Excellent rights , barrels...

| I have a toyota landcruiser with some mickey thompsons tires , surf rack's atop. Does your family like to camp ? We rent a pop up and drag it down there. We gather a bunch of drift wood and build a bond fire. Cook some burgers..Its pretty fun. The girls like it cause there are sand dollars every where...We bring some fishing equipment and do a little fishing if the surf is small.
BUT it is down there!!! 30 miles down the four wheel drive only area. On low tide you can just cruise right next to the water line in the hard packed sand and so ya don't necessarily need a 4 x 4.
Anyway..it 's a nice near by excursion

| Would love to go there. Just gonna be tuff anytime soon, cause of little league on staurdays and school. Then we are gonna be swamped doin the store thing. We haven't really done camping per say, but I know they would love to do it. It seems there is something my kids have going on virtually every weekend with having 5. You know with yr 4. We definately need try try and coordinate a trip. We would all have a blast. I like to idea of renting a pop up. Hey surfnsail, thanks. I wanna go there as I have always heard good things about that place. Thx - Coastal Ben wrote:
