i surf in brown water...

surf is a "little" cleaner...it is more surfable now than the last two days in terms of chop..

still choppy but not as bad..more guys out and a few decent waves..

waist to chest..with bigger peaks..some waves are punchy..

we need for the systems to go east of us for really good stuff...

from what i was able to see,, as it was still a bit dark.
surf is solid chest to shoulder with choppy conditions
wind is still on it brisk in the 20 plus range this morning on shore..

hope we see some more clenaing up as wind slow a little more during the day...

surf will gradually become weaker as the day ends and winds back off some more later..

this will be the last of the "real" waves , most likely today, in terms of the storm leftovers..

saturday morning may be fun for a little while as the swell goes away..

nothing like trying to find good surf on the dirty side of a hurricne..

we need for the tropicals systems to go east of us to get the really good stuff..at least that is what i have seen over the last 32 years.

pray for the folks in south padre,,and the valley...as it is certain that many are suffering damages to property and discomfort for sure..

So true Chris-- When the storms hit West of us, we get an eastward induced wind, so it chops the swell. Yesterday evening at Surfside, the wind finally switched more SSE, and the swell showed nicely at low tide.

It had dropped in size, but in the morning it was almost too choppy to enjoy.

All we need is a little 50 mph TS to land around Biloxi.
