The Jetty boat IS still in operation. It runs on the hour every morning
7 8 9 10 11 12... then every two hours..2pm 4pm 6pm the last run.
They are based out of Fishermans Warf (near the deep sea charter boats)
The run takes 10 minutes and they have a dock on the north jetty.
The fee is $ 12.00 for adults and $6.00 for children under 12.
They also rent beach carts for $10 per day. The carts are said to be large enough for an igloo cooler some chairs and what not.
You can bring surfboards at no charge.
You are allowed to camp on the beach overnight, you just need to let the captain know for his passenger list.
