TWR..

About five years ago is the last time I was out at the channel for a morning of fishing. My brother and I had put in at Eagle Point. When you come out of the marina and turn left and head northeast you will come to an area they dredged along the ship channel. It is called Red Fish Reef. You MIGHT see a couple of boats anchored up with a board or two.

Be advised anchoring you boat up is NOT the way to surf the channel. You need someone to drive the boat and drop off and pick up one or two other guys.

Its ok to fish and wait till an outgoing tanker comes along, but do NOT hop out of your boat and paddle over to catch a wave. Your boat will probably capsize or get swamped.

Ya need low tide and a full tanker with a full head of steam and a chest high wave will peel maybe 200 yards down the channel.

yeah, i mean ive watched it a few times, but i was far to young when i did.

We used to have a beachhouse down in Surfside, right on the beach. it was pretty sweet. and we were about 500 yards down from the jettys there. and some times you would see people longboarding the tankers there.
