LAST 3 DAYS OF SURF

THERE HAve BEEN FUN WAVES..SUNDAY THRU TODAY..

ONCE AGAIN...YOU HAVE TO MAKE AN ATTEMPT TO BE HERE...

SURF IS NOT BIG BUT IS FUN...ON A LONGBOARD..

THIGH HIGH MOSTLY..BUT SUNDAY WAS A BIT BIGGER AND SO WAS TODAY.
AND OF COURSE I REFER NOT JUST TO PORT A. , BUT THE WHOLE AREA..

THIS HAS BEEN A VERY CONSISTANT SUMMER AS SUMMERS GO..

ILL POST UP EARLIER TOMORROW IF AT ALL POSSIBLE....IN TERMS OF SURF CONDITIONS...

GET ON IT.

Of course, the surf always seems to be best during weekdays.

CAN YOU SEND SOME SURF UP TO THE G-TOWN AREA? WE ARE IN SOME DIRE NEED OF WAVES? YOU GYS ALWAYS GET THE WAVES>?

i went out around 5 today, it blew. went t o HC pier, and damn, horrible. current was pushing into the pier like no other, and the left side sucked even worse.

the main reason for lame waves at that time today was low tide at 6:10 p.m.

best time around here is USUALLY, not always, but usually when the tide is approaching high tide...2 to 3 hours leading up to high tide...
since the pattern right now is high tide at 5 a.m. or so....the mornings/first half of the day are a little better...

I taught Chris the basics regarding wave predictions and forecasting.

Ya see ,when Chris was just a Grom..The Vietnam war was just ending, Women were buring their bra's..There was the whole 'free love thing' goin off.
It was the best of times, but I digress.

We used to look at the clouds on a friday night and say ' man those clouds are hookin azz ' I bet their will be surf tomorrow. Ya'd lick yer finger, stick it up in the air and make a scientific wind direction calculation. " wow southeast, cool' ..

Then we'd get in Chris's moms toyota station wagon with like six boards on top and bolt to surfside. Each with around $ 7.oo and a towel.

Now we look at SWAPS. Bouys etc.

But one thing has not changed.

We still head to the beach with around $ 7.00 and a towel..

haha, that's funny man. I spend my $7 at Port A Surf Co. Maybe I should save some of that to actually eat with while I'm down there.

Dude, San juan is probably one of the best places in port a! Not only is Juan one of the nicest person on the face of the earth but, the food is steller!

Yeah, we live off of the food at San Juan and the Pizzeria when we're down there. Juan is a super cool dude.Don't think he's much of a morning person though, lol. Sometimes we hit Cancun which can be fairly cheap too.

shrimp stop has fish tacos(tuna)...

juans is just cheap....fast...and nice folks....the food at juans???well???...like i said fast friendly cheap..

the food at juans is good dont get me wrong. but, you may need to be in range of a bathroom afterwards...
