This is a great opportuity to bring the LITTLE ones to the beach. No surf, but not much hazard for them to play in the water and also relatively cool temps in the mornings. Great beach picnic/BBQ weather.

The fishing at the beach this weekend should be exceptional. I am headed to the sunken shrimp boat on San Jose.

Last month when we had these conditions we had two days of great speckle trout fishing in the first gut. A fish virtually every cast from 630a.m-900a.m.

Get out there and find a remote spot and enjoy !

We're headed down and staying at On The Beach RV Park. My older boy's bummed there's no surf, but my younger one is pumped because he's the fisherman of the family. Where's the best place closest to the RV park to wet a line?

Type in Port Aranasas, then look at Pioneer RV Park..

Since there are no waves I would go to Packery or Fish Pass.

Fish pass on the North side has a washout on the second sand bar near the rocks and some snook have been had there in these conditions..

Basically get you some Piggys, drive down the beach till you seem some bait schooled up and wade to knee deep water and fish the firstgut at first light. There will be trout under the bait...
