is monday gonna be? swell info says double overhead with slight chop.

whens the best time of the day gonna be to go? I think the wind is gonna pick up in the afternoon so it will be sloppy. but will a little dawn patrol work out alright?

I THINK MONDAY MORNING WILL BE SMALL

i will do my best to post up a report before dawn monday..

i may even get up in the middle of the night to walk the pier and see if swell is hitting..

thanks alot man.

and a quick question, my board has a small spider crack that split a little on the tail, and its in a weird angle. what are the best ways to just keep it water tight before i can get it fixed.

I heard if i just fill it with super glue it will work fine til i can get it fixed. its really small, but you can still feel the crack.

we have quick fix and dries in 5 or 10 minutes..and then sand it a little..you can make it leak proof in a few minutes...

freaking good today..

and it was good for port a. surf...

there was a left grinding down the beach in port a....just the beach break...not anywhere near the pier...a friend told me he had not seen the beach break do that in 40 years...broke like a point break ,,,while almost everyone was near the pier...

you just got to look around and not follow the pack.

swellinfo was way wrong..

so were some others..

the surf went from waist to chest at 6 am
to shoulder high by 8 am

so all in all, how big do you think it got yesterday? At one point yesterday it was super heavy and when i came in i saw a dude with a longbaord that was just snapped completely in half.

It was about head high, with several sets coming in foot or so overhead. Certainly NOT double overhead, but it was sweet.

i think there were sets that were 4 foot over head...peaks on the big sets..

overall it was head high plus..but certainly no double over head as a whole.

maybe some rogue sets came thru with no one on them..

south padre was double and triple..once you see the outside pics from south padre you will see the difference in size compared to here.
